The short version
- We only use what you send us to reply to you, schedule your visit and provide your care.
- We never sell or rent your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
- Please don’t send health details through the website — tell us by phone or at your visit.
- In an emergency, call 911.
On this page
This website, robertlosier.com, is run by Robert Losier DPM LLC — the house-call podiatry practice of Dr. Robert Losier in Naples, Florida. When this policy says “we” or “us,” it means the practice. You can reach us any time at care@robertlosier.com or (914) 844-8024.
This policy explains what information we collect through the website, why, and the choices you have.
Only what you choose to send us, plus the basics every website needs to work.
When you request a home visit
Your name and phone number. If you like, you can also share your email address, your city or neighborhood, your insurance plan, who the visit is for, the reason for the visit, the best way to reach you and a short note.
When you ask about wellness consulting
Your name and phone number, and — if you choose — your email address, the goals you’d like to work on, the best way to reach you and a short note.
When a facility contacts us
The facility’s name, your name and role, your phone number and work email, and — if you choose — the approximate number of residents and a message.
When you call or email us
Whatever you decide to share in the conversation or message.
Basic technical information
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically handles basic technical details — such as your IP address, your device and browser type, and the pages you visit — to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. We also use your IP address briefly to limit repeated form submissions.
Website statistics
As of this update, we don’t use analytics or advertising trackers. If we add privacy-friendly website statistics in the future, we’ll list them here first, along with how to opt out.
We don’t ask for your date of birth, insurance member ID, Social Security number or medical history through this website.
We use your information only to:
- respond to your request and answer your questions;
- schedule and confirm visits — or, for facilities, set up an introductory call;
- provide and coordinate your care once you’re a patient; and
- keep this website secure and working properly.
That’s it. We don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t build marketing profiles.
When you send a request, you agree that we may contact you about it by phone call, text message or email, using the details you gave us. These messages are about your request and your care — such as scheduling and appointment reminders — never advertising.
- To stop texts, reply STOP to any text message from us. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and how often we text depends on your appointments.
- To stop emails, reply and ask us to stop, or write to care@robertlosier.com.
We won’t share your mobile number with anyone for their marketing. And agreeing to texts is never a condition of receiving care — you can always simply call us.
We keep website messages only as long as we need them to respond to you and for our normal business and legal records. Once you’re a patient, your medical records are kept for as long as Florida law requires.
We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections and limited access. No website or email is completely secure, though — one more reason to keep health details out of the form.
You can ask us to:
- show you the information you’ve sent us through the website;
- correct anything that’s wrong; or
- delete it — unless we need to keep it, for example as part of a medical record the law requires us to hold.
Just email care@robertlosier.com or call (914) 844-8024. We’ll check that it’s really you before making changes, and we’ll get back to you promptly.
This website is meant for adults and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. A parent or guardian is always welcome to contact us on a child’s behalf — and if you believe a child has sent us information, let us know and we’ll delete it.
Once you become a patient, your health information is protected by a federal law called HIPAA, and by our Notice of Privacy Practices. The notice explains how your medical information may be used and shared, and your rights — including how to get a copy of your records.
Robert Losier DPM LLC’s Notice of Privacy Practices is available on request and at your first visit. To get a copy now, call (914) 844-8024 or email care@robertlosier.com.
Our forms and email are for contact details and scheduling. Please don’t include things like diagnoses, medications, test results, insurance member IDs or your Social Security number. Dr. Losier will go over your health with you by phone or in person.
Sending a request doesn’t make you a patient, and nothing on this website is medical advice for your situation.
In a medical emergency, call 911. For an urgent concern, contact your doctor or go to the nearest emergency room — please don’t wait for a reply through the website.
We link to a few other websites — for example, the Florida Department of Health’s license lookup and cms.gov. We don’t control those sites, and their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll say so clearly here.
For patients who don’t have insurance, or who aren’t using insurance for their care.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises (opens in a new tab) or call 1-800-985-3059.
To ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule, just call (914) 844-8024 — we’re happy to help.
We want everyone to be able to use this website comfortably — including people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control or a keyboard. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
You can make the text larger at any time with the “A / A+” button at the top of the page (on phones, it’s in the menu).
If anything is hard to read or use, please call (914) 844-8024 or email care@robertlosier.com. We’ll help you directly — and we’ll work to fix it.
Questions about this policy, or about your information? We’re glad to help.
